I am a calm and patient person and am equally comfortable teaching those who find learning an instrumental difficult to those with a natural affinity.
I have a music degree from Goldsmiths College, London and studied flute with Anna Noakes. I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education specialising in primary school education. I am currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Instrumental Teaching (part-time distance learning with Reading University).
I have had my own private flute and piano teaching business in York from 2002 – 2005 and worked as an instrumental teacher for the North Yorkshire County Music Service for over nine years. Now my children are a little older, I resumed my private flute and piano teaching business in September 2010.
I enjoy playing my flute in various ensembles in and around York. |
